Hello!

I'm Kristina, and I'm so glad you are here!

I am a 35 year old wife and mother.  I was raised in rural South Carolina, where my husband and I are raising our two children.  Even though I was raised to know and love Jesus, and asked Him into my heart at a young age, I ebbed and flowed in and out of God's will for my life.  It was only when I became a mother, much to her surprise, that I began to get serious about my faith.  My greatest desire in the world is to point my children to Jesus.  Amidst the difficulties of raising a family in this mixed up world, I turned to the Bible for encouragement.  Through that experience, God gave me a desire to share that same encouragement with other moms, catapulting me into the world of devotional writing.

My Story

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be a writer.  In fact, I can remember being in the fourth grade when my teacher asked us all what we wanted to be, and I declared that I would be an author.  As a girl, I would lay on the living room floor and fill notebooks with short stories and novels.  It was the early nineties, and everything was written by hand.  When the internet "entered the chat," I created an e-mail address and started writing short devotions and sending them to my aunts and cousins.

As I grew, I left all of that behind and forgot all about my dream of being a writer.

Fast-forward to 2016, when I wrote a children's book as a gift to my sister when she graduated from college.  At the encouragement of my family, I published the book in 2019, reigniting my spark for writing.

By then, my husband and I had brought our first child into the world and I had left the workforce to be a stay-at-home mom.  In an attempt to make some money at home, I did what many moms do, and joined a network marketing company.  Through that experience, I took the social media where I would write posts, pouring out my heart and soul.  I started to feel God nudging me toward writing a book, but I kept telling myself and Him that I did not have time.

In 2021, by way of a group Bible study led by one of my dearest friends, I clearly felt God telling me to leave behind the 5-figure business I had built to pursue this calling He had given me.  From there, I dove head first into writing a devotional for moms.  It has been a "God thing' every step of the way, and it is so amazing to me that in spite of all the many times I ran away from Him, I can look back on my life and see the way He was preparing me to be a writer for Him.
